Optional video’s are on certain slides, depending how you are getting on for time. In order for students to build up their own work to refer to when they sit the PSA Tasks, they will need to have notes which cover all the spec and be able to understand the relevance of these when writing up their Task 1, which is 1.5 hours long (next page). Throughout the presentation there is reference to the criteria as it’s a combination of knowing the key characteristics in a life stage and then also knowing the sequence and changes through the life stage eg. a 6-month-old compared to an 18-month-old. For visual learners these are demonstrated as steps, and these are coloured for each of the PIES. There is a Level 1 homework task and a Level 2 homework tasks… Homework sheets are on Word and can be adapted.
